Uluru (Ayers Rock) overview

Uluru (Ayers Rock) is the world’s largest monolith. In the heart of the Red Centre, surrounded by miles of flat red desert sand, the Rock is both a wonder to behold and testament to the cultural history of Australia. Nearby, lowlying Ayers Rock Resort, also known as Yulara, offers a choice of accommodation, complimentary resort shuttles, and a town square with supermarket, bank, cafés, and shops. Ideally, you should plan to spend at least two nights at Uluru to enjoy some of the many activities and sights, such as the wonderful Sounds of Silence Dinner. Please be aware that the Anangu people, the traditional owners, would prefer that visitors choose not to climb Uluru.
