Day 1 Arrive Toronto
On arrival in Toronto you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours free to explore. Perhaps go sightseeing to visit the iconic CN Tower, the harbour front and Ontario Place. Tonight dinner is at your leisure to experience some of the local restaurants and bars.

Day 2 Niagara Falls
This morning head off on a city tour of the downtown and waterfront area of Toronto. Then head to Niagara Falls, a series of spectacular waterfalls on Niagara River that straddles the international border of Canada and the US state of New York. Here you will board the thrilling Maid of the Mist cruise and journey up close to the base of Horseshoe Falls (raincoats provided). Later, visit the picturesque village of Niagara on the Lake.

Day 3 1,000 Islands, Ottawa
This morning you’ll depart Toronto and travel to the breathtaking 1000 Islands of the St Lawrence Seaway. This gorgeous garden of woods and waters is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Located between Canada and the United States, the region is popular among holiday-makers and boaters and is often referred to as the freshwater boating capital of the world. Here take an unforgettable cruise of the islands. Continue to Canada’s vibrant capital, Ottawa.

Day 4 Ottawa Sightseeing
This morning’s touring will introduce you to many of Ottawa’s renowned attractions, including the majestic buildings of Parliament Hill, Embassy Row and historic Rideau Canal. The remainder of the day is free to explore. Perhaps visit the bustling ByWard Market and its picturesque back alleys, explore the modern/historic blend that is Elgin Street, or visit the National War Memorial at Confederation Square, a fitting tribute to the sacrifices made by many for Canada’s liberty. Dinner tonight is at your leisure.

Day 5 Quebec City
Today continue the journey north to one of North America’s most beautiful and historic cities, Québec City. Founded in 1608, the walled city retains its magnificent original cobblestone pathways and quaint homes. In the native Algonquin language ‘Kebec’ means ‘where the river narrows’. Birthplace of French colonial America, Québec City has a special charm. Enjoy time at leisure to explore, maybe stroll through its oldest neighbourhoods like Petit Champlain, Place-Royale and the Old Port.

Day 6 Quebec City Sightseeing
Today travel back in time to rural Québec. Journey via many of the traditional villages of Québec and Montmorency Falls to Sainte-Annede-Beaupré. Here see the famous shrine and striking white Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Saint Anne, the mother of the Virgin Mary, is the patron saint of sailors, who first built the church on this site. Over the years however the church has been destroyed and rebuilt. Then visit the Island of Orléans with its picturesque village of Sainte-Pétronille. Enjoy a special group dinner tonight at the Sugar Maple Shack.

Day 7 VIA Rail to Montreal
Board VIA Rail’s service to Montréal. The train has a special upper observation deck, providing you with 360 degree views of the impressive landscapes you’ll pass through on your way to Montréal. Throughout its colourful 350 year history, Montréal has been in turn a French settlement and a British stronghold. Today it is a bilingual city and the second largest French speaking city in the world. Enjoy the afternoon here at leisure.

Day 8 Montreal at leisure
Enjoy a day to discover Montréal on your own. Maybe visit Old Montréal, a marvellous feast for the senses. The streets are filled with musicians, restaurants, and shops. Grab an outside table, and take in the smells, sounds and atmosphere of this enchanting place. Montréal is also known for its shopping, and in particular, its Underground City. Constantly growing, this city of shops links many major buildings and shops in Montréal. This evening enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your Tour Director and travelling companions.

Day 9 Depart Montreal
Today your tour comes to an end after breakfast and it’s time to bid farewell to your new friends and transfer to Montréal airport. Alternately, you can take an optional train journey with VIA Rail (own expense) through the stunning rolling landscapes of eastern Canada, arriving back in Toronto this afternoon.
