British Virgin Islands overview

The British Virgin Islands are an unspoilt Caribbean destination consisting of over 50 small islands, many of them uninhabited. The BVIs are home to stunning coastlines, extensive coral reefs and shipwrecks, making this the perfect sailing and diving destination. The main island, Tortola, is characterised by its white sand beaches and lush mountain scenery. It's also an ideal base from which to explore the other islands. Virgin Gorda is the second largest island, home to some stylish resort hotels and the Baths, a collection of gigantic boulders on the beach large enough to meander through. Peter Island is the largest private island in the BVIs. The resort has 5 superb beaches and a wonderful spa, there are also 8 miles of trails to explore. The exquisite Necker Island, owned by Sir Richard Branson, is where the jet set come to unwind and is quite simply unsurpassed.
