Cuba overview

Cuba is like a different world. It's capital Havana is a World Heritage Site, a magnificent example of a Spanish colonial city. Crumbling away in parts, this only adds to its charm and surely must be one of the most colourful and vibrant cities on the planet. Music and the rythmns of the salsa are everywhere. Cuba seems to be in a time warp, and the only place that genuine 1950s American cars can still be seen on the streets. It goes without saying that the beaches are fabulous. Varadero is the main tourist area and there are some very good all inclusive hotels here. Elsewhere in Cuba, take a trip to Guardalavaca to enjoy a taste of the real Cuba and the chance to swim with dolphins. A great way to see all that Cuba has to offer is by joining an organised tour, taking a week to meander around this large island, truly an amazing experience.
