Sharm el Sheikh offers world-class diving with spectacular reefs, magnificent drop-offs and shipwrecks simply waiting to be explored. Dive among sharks, barracuda and turtles at Shark Reef, or learn to dive in the gentler waters of Na'ama Bay.

Sharm el Sheikh lies at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsular where desert sands meet the Red Sea. Idyllic golden beaches shelve gently into a fantastic world of beautiful offshore reefs and colourful tropical fish. And enjoying a reputation amongst diving enthusiasts as the world's best dive sites, the Ras Mohammed National Marine Park and the Straits of Tiran are within easy reach. Elegant hotels offer every luxury, and beach bars, gourmet restaurants, and trendy bars and nightclubs add to the holiday atmosphere. For more traditional entertainment, bazaars and coffee shops add a splash of local colour, and you can always venture further afield and enjoy dinner Bedouin-style under a starlit desert sky.

Sharm El Sheikh resorts
The Sharm el Sheikh area comprises numerous resorts including Ras Um Sid, a lovely family resort between Na'ama Bay and Sharm's old Town.

Ras Um Sid boasts a beautiful beach with plenty of watersports including windsurfing, deep-sea fishing, and boat trips in addition to fantastic diving and snorkelling.

Na'ama Bay is the central and most popular area of Sharm el Sheikh and a haven for divers and watersports enthusiasts. Modern, stylish hotels line the sandy beachfront with its attractive promenade and there is a good selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Jetties along the coastline provide access to the sea over the reefs thereby protecting the magnificent coral.

Sharks Bay is a small resort popular with divers and snorkellers, and boasts some of the best coral reefs in the world. Ten kilometres north of Na'ama Bay, which is easily reached by shuttle bus or taxi, and overlooking Tiran Islands, Sharks Bay features elegant hotels with an abundance of activities.

Also looking across to Tiran Island, Ras Nasrani is an exclusive beach resort at the northern end of Sharm el Sheikh. A peaceful and tranquil resort, renowned for its diving, it boasts stunning shallow coral reefs and a beautifully secluded white sandy beach.
