DAY 1
Fly UK/Keflavik: On arrival collect hire vehicle from Keflavik International Airport before proceeding to your overnight accommodation. Overnight Reykjavik: 4* Icelandair Loftleidir Hotel. DAY 2 Day at leisure to explore the capital, sightseeing, a museum trip or simply soaking up Reykjavik's unique atmosphere. Your visit will not be complete without the adventure and excitement experienced on a Whale Watching Safari - An unforgettable experience and an opportunity to enjoy nature as she herself intended. Between April – October Guided Boat Trips depart daily from the main harbour in the heart of Reykjavik. Overnight Reykjavik: 4* Icelandair Loftleidir Hotel. DAY 3 Depart Reykjavik to explore some of the most precious classical sights of West Iceland. The Borgarfjör∂ur district with all its fertile lands, the productive hot spring Deildartunguhver, the waterfalls Hraunfossar and the glacier Langjökull, are all among the scenic natural wonders in this region. From the stress of the city drive through Kjalarnes and to Hvalfjör∂ur, a fjord chained with beautiful mountains and a rough coastline at times. From Hvalfjör∂ur head to Borgarfjör∂ur. Visit Deildartunguhver and Hraunfossar on your way to Langjökull - Iceland’s second largest glacier. Once on the glacier you will have the opportunity to take a thrilling 1 Hour Snowmobile ride (optional-extra) as well as the chance to enjoy the magnificent glacial landscape. DAY 4 Situated between Faxafloi bay and Breidajfordur fjord, the 100 km long Snæfellsnes peninsula is a beautiful area and its spectacular landscape is unforgettable. The coastline around the peninsula is varied, with long sandy beaches, incredible craggy bluffs, caves, bird cliffs and towering mountains, the most famous of which is the cone-shaped Snaefellsjokull glacier, coupled with its interesting shores, bird life and whale watching opportunities. [Between 15 May – 15 September Whale Watching Boat Trips are available from Olafsvik Harbour daily]. Overnight Borgarnes: 3* Icelandair Hamar Hotel. DAY 5 Before departing Iceland why not enjoy a unique bathing experience! The Blue Lagoon is located South-West of Reykjavik near the fishing village of Grindavik on the Reykjanes peninsula [Approx. 15 minutes drive from Keflavik Airport]. The lagoon is exciting, invigorating and superbly relaxing - an experience not to be missed!
