Reykjavik overview

Reykjavik, Icelands's capital city is the northern most capital city in the world and home to 62% of the total population. Reykjavik meaning Smoky Bay was so named in 874 by its viking founder because of the steam rising from the hot springs, though this northern most city is anything but smoky, it is in fact totally smoke free due to the cities reliance on geothermal heat.
