Itinerary
Day 1 : UK/Nice
Enjoy a day of wonderful scenery onboard the Eurostar to Lille, where you join the TGV through the French countryside speeding on to Nice. Sit back and admire the ever-changing vistas of undulating hills, historic cities and charming towns. Tonight is spent in Nice.

Day 2 : Lido Di Camaiore
Your journey continues across the Italian border to Genoa today. The line here runs close to the coast, past colourful harbour towns, grand villas and rocky cliffs. From here you’ll transfer by coach to Lido di Camaiore, your Tuscan home for the next seven nights.

Day 3 - 8 : Lido Di Camaiore
The Tuscan Riviera is perhaps the region’s best kept secret. Shady parks and gardens give way to soft sands and ultimately the sea. Lido di Camaiore is an attractive little town with a lively seafront promenade lined with tempting shops and trattorias offering delicious local fare.

Pisa -
Pisa (half day) The magnificent Leaning Tower, such an icon of Italy, is just one part of the awe-inspiring Campo dei Miracoli, the Field of Miracles. Here you’ll also find the imposing marble-clad cathedral, its sombre monochromatic exterior concealing a grand interior; and the baptistery, its unadorned interior somehow emphasising its impressive size.

Florence (full day) -
Enjoy a tour in the company of a city guide of Florence, the art city and cultural capital of Italy. Perhaps visit the outstanding art collections of the Uffizi, Bargello or Accademia galleries, or the cathedral, clad in green, white and red marble. Its magnificent dome still dominates the skyline today. The city’s many squares and piazzas each offer their own delights as well as a myriad pavement cafes, the ideal place to refresh yourself with a cappuccino and delicious pastry before continuing your exploration.

Lucca (3/4 day) -
This charming medieval walled town is often overlooked by visitors, yet it has much to offer. Be sure to visit the church of San Michele in Foro with its exquisite façade and the Piazza Anfiteatro, a medieval piazza built on a Roman amphitheatre. A stroll along the wide tree-lined walls offers views across the town and to the distinctive Tuscan countryside beyond. Lunch is included in a local winery – with, of course, a tasting of the excellent wines!

San Gimignano & Siena (full day) -
A leisurely scenic drive through the Tuscan hills brings you to medieval San Gimignano, known for its medieval towns piercing the sky. Take a stroll amongst its cobbled streets and enchanting squares, dotted with fine palaces and churches, and be sure to visit the magnificent frescoes in the Collegiata. Siena boasts a wealth of remarkably well-preserved medieval buildings. Highlights here include the cathedral, with its dramatic black and white façade, and the Campo, a vast square that was the heart of the medieval city. And why not browse amongst the shops selling local treats, including delicious cantuccini biscuits and sweet panforte?

Day 9 : Nice
Leaving Tuscany behind, you’ll travel to Genoa to board the train for the journey back to Nice where once again you’ll spend the night.

Day 10 : Nice/UK
Another scenic day is in store as your holiday comes to end on the TGV. Head north through to France, connecting with the Eurostar in Lille.
