The Amalfi Coast is one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world with wonderful views , sophisticated hotels and an opportunity to sample fantastic food and local wines. Sorrento is set in the main headland and has beautiful views over the bay of Naples to Capri and Ischia. Approximately 20 kilometres along the coastline will bring you to the resort of Positano with its narrow cobbled streets and fashionable boutiques. The Amalfi coast is famed for its production of Limoncello liqueur. Mount Vesuvius sits in the bay of Naples and is the only active Volcano in Europe. You can drive to the original crater at 3,000 ft and then take a walk to the top which gives impressive views of the inside of the crater as well as a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples.
