Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Munich
You are met at the airport and transferred* to your hotel. Meet up this evening with your fellow travellers and Tour Director over a welcome drink.
Overnight Stay: Munich

Day 2: Munich – Oberammergau (FB,D)
This morning enjoy a guided walking tour and visit the Marienplatz where you will see the famous Glockenspiel. There is time for lunch and browsing at the nearby Victuals Market. This afternoon travel the famous Romantic Road towards the Bavarian Alps where your hotel lies alongside a gorgeous lake.
Two Night Stay: Oberammergau

Day 3: Oberammergau (FB,L,D)
After breakfast, drive past beautifully painted chalets en-route to Oberammergau, site of the Passion Play. There is time to explore the town before enjoying lunch and the play from your Category 1 seat. During the interval, dinner is served.

Day 4: Oberammergau – Amsterdam (FB,D)
This morning transfer to Munich airport and fly to Amsterdam. A warm welcome awaits you from your crew as you board your luxury river cruise ship.
Next Fourteen Nights: Cruising

Day 5: Amsterdam – Cologne (FB,L,D)
SCENIC FREECHOICE (1) a canal cruise; or (2) the Van Gogh Museum; or (3) a guided biking tour of Amsterdam (numbers limited). Enjoy the Captain’s welcome dinner this evening.

Day 6: Cologne (FB,L,D)
Join your guide this afternoon and explore the Old Town of Cologne with its beautiful squares and historical monuments.

Day 7: Rhine Gorge – Rüdesheim (FB,L,D)
Today, cruise through the spectacular Rhine Gorge. Arrive at Rüdesheim and board the ‘Winzerexpress’ mini train for a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum and journey by cable car to the Niederwald Monument.

Day 8: Miltenberg (FB,L,D)
Your guided walking tour includes many well-preserved half-timbered buildings and Renaissance houses which line and surround the town square.

Day 9: Würzburg (FB,L,D)
SCENIC FREECHOICE (1) tour of Würzburg; or (2) excursion to Rothenburg.

Day 10: Bamberg (FB,L,D)
This afternoon, explore Bamberg with your guide and see the largest preserved old quarter in Europe. SCENIC ENRICH Enjoy beer tasting at the Zehnthaus, a private brewery established in 1533, where you are greeted by the cellar master and taken to an underground vault to sample his selection of brews, including the famous black and bran beer.

Day 11: Nuremberg (FB,L,D)
Commence with a guided orientation tour of the old town. This afternoon, see the site of the Nuremberg Rallies and visit the Documentation Centre which archived all Trial materials.

Day 12: Regensburg (FB,L,D)
Regensburg is one of Germany’s finest preserved cities and during your guided walking tour you will get to see the Old Chapel and visit Thurn and Taxis Castle.

Day 13: Passau – Linz (FB,L,D)

Day 14: Melk – Dürnstein – Vienna (FB,L,D)
Discover the magnificent Benedictine Abbey on a guided city tour of Melk. SCENIC ENRICH During your visit inside the Abbey an exclusive short organ recital has been arranged. The ship sails through the Wachau Valley to picturesque Dürnstein. This evening you arrive in Vienna.

Day 15: Vienna (FB,L,D)

Day 17: Budapest (FB,L,D)
Budapest is one of Eastern Europe’s most ancient cities. Visit all the sights on your morning tour.

After breakfast this morning you are transferred* to the airport.
