Day 1 FLY UK TO MOSCOW Arrive in Russia's magnificent capital. Transfer to the Budapest Hotel 4*(or similar). Relax with free time in the city.

Day 2 MOSCOW Explore Moscow's main sights with a city tour, including Red Square, Lenin's Mausoleum, St Basil's Cathedral, the Kremlin and Novodevichy Convent. After passing the Kremlin on your city tour take the opportunity to explore the political landmark further and visit the Armoury, a museum housed inside the Kremlin walls.

Day 3 MOSCOW Appreciate the architectural splendour of Moscow's Metro System as you tour the most spectacular stations. Following this take a walk down the Arbat, an area where you can find the most colourful performers and quaint markets as well as souvenir shops. In the evening transfer to the railway station for your first class overnight train to Kazan.

Day 4 KAZAN Arrive in Kazan and transfer to the Marriott Courtyard Hotel 4*(or similar) and relax with some free time. In the afternoon take a city sightseeing tour which includes sights such as: the Kremlin, the only of its kind in Russia, where a stunning Mosque and Cathedral sit side by side within the same walls; National Museum; Blagoveshchensk Cathedral; the Old Tatar Village; Kaban Lake; and the main historical streets of the city.

Day 5 KAZAN Following breakfast visit Sviyazhsk Island. Founded by Ivan the Terrible in his attempt to conquer Kazan this spectacular site includes the Uspensky Monastery, the Trinity Monastery, Church of Sergius of Radonezh, Church of Nicholas and the Church of the Mother of God of All Sorrow and Joy.

Day 6 ST PETERSBURG Depart Kazan in the morning. On arrival transfer to the Ambassador Hotel 4* (or similar) before enjoying a city tour where you can see Nevsky Prospekt, St Isaac's Cathedral, the Admiralty, the Church of the Spilt Blood and Peter and Paul's Fortress.

Day 7 ST PETERSBURGVisit one of Russia's best known sights– the Hermitage. This world famous museum houses over 3 million artefacts including work by Monet, Renoir and Picasso.

Day 8 FLY ST PETERSBURG TO UK Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
