Kranjska Gora overview

Kranjska Gora is better known for its skiing in winter but is worth considering for those holidaymakers that want an active holiday in a very pretty alpine village, in the summer. Kranjska Gora sits peacefully in the Sava Dolinka Valley and is the centre for sports and tourism in the area. During the summer months a chair lift is running which opens up the mountains..and the stunning views! There are endless walking and exploring opportunities and a seemingly neverending array of activities. The summer toboggan run is great fun, very popular with the younger members of the family. Also popular in Kranjska Gora are hiking, alpine climbing, cycling, golf, fishing, kayaking etc. A highly recommended, original holiday destination, definately worth a visit!
